EVALUATION OF TEACHERS’ QUESTIONNAIRE  ABOUT  MEETINGS UNDER THE PROJECT “ THE MUTUAL CULTURAL INFLUENCE of COLONIZATION and MIGRATION”

 

The interviewed teachers are 8 teachers – 2 traveled to France, 2 traveled to Portugal, 2 – to Hungary and 2 to Spain. Here are the results of the results of our questionnaire.

 Question 1: Were you satisfied with the preparation work for the meetings?

(E.g. quantity and quality of information flow before the meeting; communication management from promoter and/ or hotel etc.)

The results are – 1 -  63% and 2 – 37%.

 

           Question 2: Were you satisfied with the hotels?

(E.g. location, rooms, service, food, etc.)

The percentage is: 1 – 75% and 2 – 25 %.

Analyzing these results it is obvious that all partners have organized on their best way the meetings so all partners feel themselves at home. It was appreciated by partners.

 

Question 3: Were you satisfied with the seminar rooms?

(E.g. location, equipment, size, table structure etc.)

 The result is incontestable – 100%

 

           Question 4: Were you satisfied with the agenda of the meetings?

( E.g. time structure, involvement of partners, appropriateness of methods and issues etc.)

      The results – 1 – 37% and 2 – 63% prove that in spite of the large number of partners in the project, the coordination between them is perfect. Every hosting country has tried to plan on their  best way students’ presentations, teachers’ discussions and sightseeings.

 

Question 5: Were you satisfied with all information and materials you received during the meetings concerning the content and structure of the project?

(E.g. work, dissemination and evaluation plans, aims and objectives of project etc.)

  The results are – 1 – 63% and 2  – 37%.

 

         Question 6: Were you satisfied with all information you received during the meetings concerning the financial and administrative issues of the project?

The results are – 1 – 25% and 2 – 75%. Some of the teachers from the project teams expressed their opinion that financial issues depend on National agencies and couldn’t  be changed. The implementation of project activites has to be done according the NA exigences.

 

Question 7: Were you satisfied with all information you received concerning next project steps and are you aware what kind of contributions will be expected from you?

The percentage is 1 – 50% and  2 – 50%. Discussing with my colleagues the results,  they think that is difficult to send many times the needed information  to our partners and this project information to be lost. Our students have worked out many activites which weren’t included in the application form before  and some of them were proposed by our partners.

 

Question 8: Were you satisfied with the working atmosphere during the meetings?

          (E.g. Did everybody have the opportunity and chance to contribute properly and equally to this project meeting? Was everybody’s opinion heard and respected? Etc)

The results are: 1 – 37% and 2 – 63%.

 

 Question 9: Were you satisfied with the way the meetings were managed?

(E.g. communication, moderation and social skills; time/crises/conflict management etc.)

The percentage is: 1 – 50%  and  2 – 50%.

Due to our coordinator all differernt opinions during the meetings  were overcame and all partners have tried to find the best solution of communication problems.

 

 Question 10: Were you satisfied with the quantity and quality of other partner’s contributions to these meetings?

The percentage is: 1 – 37% and 2 – 63%.

 

Question 11:  Were you satisfied with the social activities and social life of these meetings?

The results are: 1 – 63% and 2 – 37%. The teacher’s approval of this activities is obvious.

 

Question 12:  Do you think the meetings were  generally successful? Do you think the project group was able to achieve relevant results and to gain some progress in its work?

The percentage – 1 – 63% and 2 – 37% proved that in spite of differences between partners and their large number the project has the opportunity to be successful and will give more deepen knowledge about common issues, culture and habits.

 

 Question 13:  After your impressions and experiences of the kick-off meeting and the starting phase, do you still think it was a great idea to join this project? Why? / Why not?

 

100% of the teachers in the project team are persuaded that join this kind of project is a great idea because:

·         It will deepen their knowledge about our partner’s countries and will help them to compare our common habits and issues.

·         The project will improve their English in real communication situations.

·         The project work will stimulate their students’ creativity and researches on the colonization and migration topics.

 

              Question 14:  If looking ahead to the next steps of the project, do you feel the project will make positive or negative developments?

(E.g. What kind of threats, risks as well as chances, opportunities etc. do you see? Has there anything to be done, changed, avoided etc., so you would be happier with the project?)

100 % of the interviewed teachers think that the project will have positive impact on our students and colleagues. They think that  discussions are something normal between so many different people and they are the best way to find the best problem solution.

100% of interviewed don’t have any other ides.

 

In conclusion:

  1. There aren’t any answers 3 – fair, 4 – poor, 5 – very poor. So teachers’ opinions about meetings are positive.
  2. All partners have tried to organize meetings and to implement project activities

           on the best way.

Although we are so different, all partners found the best way of communication and planning project activities. The project meetings have offered perfect opportunities to know more about different cultures, lifestyle and history.
